Lucayan
Golf Club
Lucaya, Bahamas
This is a jewel of a venue perched
on the shores of the Bahamas. It is a Dick Wilson design, built in 1962 and known
for its tight fairways, sharp turning doglegs and emphasis on precision. Wilson
is well known for his work at Bay Hill, in Orlando, Fl. and the Blue Monster at
Doral in Miami and this Lucayan Course does not disappoint. It is an Audubon-affiliated
member of the USGA and The Metropolitan New York Golf Association. The Lucayan
Course pits your golf skills against Dick Wilson's mind and the natural wonders
of Grand Bahama Island. Testing precision rather than distance, with doglegs,
elevated greens and thick stands of tropical foliage. The tall trees give shade
from the sun and other players on the course. There is no tight schedule and no
need to rush your round so you can take it easy. With wide target areas off the
tee and well-protected elevated greens, it is a great place to enjoy a great game.

The
Hyatt Britannia Golf Club
Grand Cayman
This gem is the Caribbean's
first signature Jack Nicklaus Golf course with three courses in one. A nine hole
Championship regulation with an 18-hole par 57 executive course built in. An experience
not to be missed in Grand Cayman. Jack Nicklaus has created a masterful course
for the Britannia Club, reminiscent of the legendary courses such as Royal Troon,
Turnberry and Royal Birkdale. The hallmark of a Nicklaus design is his ability
to provide players with a challenging and rewarding golf experience. Off the regulation
tees, it plays as a par-35, nine-hole course. Play the additional nine greens
and tees, and it's a par-57, 18-hole executive course. Or tee up the revolutionary
restricted-flight "Golden Bear Cayman Ball" and play a par-71, 18-hole
round. The course has all the natural challenges and hazards of a traditional
seaside or links layout. On some holes, blind tee shots, pot bunkers, and two-tiered
greens test the golfer. On the fifth hole, the tee shot must carry over the Caribbean
Sea, while on the breathtaking 562-yard hole nine, three different shots carry
you over water hazards. This is a walking excursion and rental clubs are included
in the package price.

Cozumel
Country Club
Cozumel, Mexico
This is Cozumel's first and only World Class Championship 18 hole golf course.
It was created by the Nicklaus design team and incorporates the natural habitats
of the island in its design and construction. This course is built around Cozumel's
native trees, red mangroves, and natural wetlands in order to preserve ecologically
sensitive areas. There are only three areas on the golf course where golfers playing
another hole are visible, allowing the golfers to enjoy the peace and quiet of
the natural surroundings. We feel it is a "must play" for the vacationing
golfer!
