Managed by Troon Golf of Scottsdale, Arizona, El Tigre plays to 7,239 yards and features numerous lakes and strategically placed bunkers. The course features pristine Tifon Bermuda grass fairways and Tifdwarf Champion greens. Notable holes include the classic risk & reward challenge at the dogleg par four hole at five, the diabolic 18th, a par five measuring over 600 yards from the back tees, and the par three offering at six, which is an island green protected by a Scottish pot bunker. Your memorable experience begins upon arrival at the Club, as golfers pass through an impressive stone archway resembling a Mayan temple, beside which a real Bengal tiger lives securely in his habitat. course recently opened for play at the Paradise Village Beach Resort and
Spa in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico.
This spectacular Robert Trent Jones Jr. championship course is
respected as the best golf in the area. The course is designed on two
miles of unspoiled coastline with the rolling surf visible from every
hole. The back nine is the most spectacular, as the 13th and 14th holes
parallel a river as you head toward the sea. With the prevailing wind
in your face and water hazards protecting the golf course, the golfer
is in for a formidable challenge.
