tee boxes, lots of dunes and numerous water hazards. The variedness of landscape
and the technical difficulties represent its most attractive characteristics.
The tee of hole 5 borders the riding field of the Holiday Inn Resort where national
and international tournaments take place all year round. Many of the holes may
remind you of the famous Scottish links style courses. View of the sea and the

Cosmopolitan Country Club

The Cosmopolitan Country Club is one of the most competitive courses in Tuscany. Voted best new golf course in Italy in 1993, it is a "must play" for the golfing enthusiast. Four tee areas vary the set up option on each hole. The holes offer great variety and visual fair-ness, most greens are large and the fairness have been strategically mounded to define play. Water comes into play on 11 holes and vast sand bunkers surround most of holes 3, 8 and 16. The par 4, 16th is actually an island in the sand that at 298m makes the tee shot a thinking man's challenge. Both 9 & 18 finish to the clubhouse with strategic par 5 water carries. Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy Le Querce Golf Course Founded in 1985 the Golf Club le Querce lies 40 km from Rome in a beautiful country-side that Romans call Alto Lazio. The championship course is work of 3 illustrious architects: George Fazio, Jim Fazio and David Mezzacane. In Golf World's European ranking statistics, Le Querce has held 13th place. The panoramic splendor of the course is renowned. For its construction, the natural contours of the hilly terrain were left undisturbed although heavy earth moving machinery has been used.
