A unique combination of desert and ocean, canyon-like arroyos and a variety of desert foliage creates a breathtaking backdrop. Weiskopf designed this layout to guarantee ocean views from every hole, something every golfer will surely enjoy. The course varies in length from 4,810 to 7,097 yards, with greens that offer up gentle, subtle rolls, challenging elevation changes and dramatic bunkering. The newly built Desert Course is destined for worldwide accolades. This beautiful seaside course has holes reminiscent of Pebble Beach. With great views and spectacular holes at every turn, this course is a must play for the traveling golfer. The 18 original holes at Bajamar, now the Lagos and Vista nines, were designed by Percy Clifford in 1976. In the early 1990s the course underwent a redesign, mostly to the tees and greens and a new irrigation system was installed. The Oceano nine, designed by Robert Von Hagge, opened in June 1996. Bajamar offers a scenic and memorable golfing experience to players of all skill levels and abilities.
